M4H: Who is your role model?
M: Kofi Annan
M4H: Why did you choose to intern with Media 4 Humanity?
M: I chose Media 4 Humanity because I believe that the severity of human trafficking is often underestimated. I wanted to work for an organization that was committed to a humanitarian cause and domestic human trafficking is an issue for which it is critical to raise awareness.
M4H: What have you learned from this internship?
M: This internship has taught me how to work efficiently with other people. I’ve also learned a lot of practical professional skills and familiarized myself with the inner workings of non profits.
Working with Media 4 Humanity has given me the practical experience that I will need to work with people from a variety of backgrounds, with different interests and work ethics.
M4H: What has been your most rewarding experience with Media 4 Humanity?
M: My most rewarding experience working with M4H was the lobbying trip: being able to discuss the issue with people with the power to affect legislative change was very empowering.
M4H: What are your future plans?
M: In the future, I would like to go to graduate school and study international relations. I would like to design intervention policies for international NGOs.
